Sustainability is becoming increasingly important, also for Pluggerz. As a brand that develops hearing protection, we not only want to protect people’s hearing, but also be conscious of our impact on the environment.

We see sustainability as an ongoing process. Therefore, we continue to look for ways to improve our products, packaging and processes so that we move step by step in a more sustainable direction.

Below is an overview of some key initiatives and facts:

• Reusable earplugs:
  Compared to disposable earplugs, reusable earplugs create significantly less waste. Disposable products are often discarded after one or a few uses, while reusable earplugs are designed to last for long periods of time. This extends the life of the product and reduces the amount of material that eventually ends up in the trash.
  Our Uni-Fit products can be used more than 100 times, our Custom-Fit products last 4 to 5 years.

• Our earplugs are produced in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU:
  The Custom-Fit earplugs are produced in the Netherlands and the Uni-Fit earplugs in the EU. This under fair and safe conditions. Due to the relatively local production, the transport distance is limited and the ecological footprint relatively low.

• Conscious operations:
  Sustainability also plays a role in our day-to-day operations. We separate paper, plastic, bio- and residual waste. Our vehicle fleet is electric and we use 100% green energy. In addition, the silicone impression material is collected and reused for, among other things, new impression material for custom-made earplugs.
